Peace Of Mind DNA Tests
These DNA Tests are for personal information only, as the identities of the individuals involved are not legally verified.
Peace of Mind Tests are cheaper than the Legal Test versions, however, the DNA test itself is exactly the same as a DNA test that is used for legal purposes. It is just as accurate & the laboratory process is identical.
These Peace of Mind DNA tests can save time & money, giving the answers needed, without long, complicated & costly legal processes.
If you wish to choose a Peace of Mind Option, you can visit your local DNA Clinic or Pharmacy for a Peace of mind DNA test. You can also choose Our Registered Nurse service or our Home DNA testing kits.
All our DNA tests can be ordered as a Peace of Mind option.
Legal Test Services
A Legal DNA Test is required if the results are to be used for Legal Test purposes. The difference in price of a Legal DNA Test compared to a Peace of Mind DNA Test is due to the strict protocols that must be followed. This includes the verification of a test participants identity, when DNA samples are taken and the traceability of all samples to demonstrate a strict chain of custody.
Please see the following guidelines:
- At the time DNA samples are taken, each test participant MUST provide two (2) recent passport style photos.
-
Each test participant MUST also provide two (2) forms of identification – one from each of the following two (2) lists:
List 1: Passport, Birth Certificate, Drivers Licence
List 2: Domestic Bill (gas, electricity, Council tax, phone or official bank statement, all no older than 3 months showing current address) - For clients under 18 years of age, a birth certificate is acceptable if no other forms of identification exist. Please note, two (2) recent passport style photos must still be provided.
A strict protocol is then followed by both the Sample Collector and the laboratories so that the results of the DNA test cannot be disputed for Legal Test purposes.
If you require a Legal DNA test, you must visit your local DNA Clinic or use our Registered Nurse Service. The process cannot be undertaken using the Home DNA Testing Kit.
All our DNA tests can be ordered as a Legal Test Service option.
